Nuclear facilities that are being dismantled have different requirements for the various buildings depending on the phase of decommissioning. At the beginning of decommissioning, the main task is to clear or rededicate rooms, while as decommissioning progresses, the dismantling of (load-bearing) concrete structures dominates. WTI advises clients on all phases of decommissioning and plans, among other things, replacement structures for parts of the building that are no longer available due to decommissioning but are still required, at least in part (e.g. modular, reusable controlarea accesses).
