In this field of work, WTI analyzes how radioactive substances are retained in the waste matrix, their encapsulation, and the containers and casks specifically developed for storage and transport, as well as the surrounding buildings under normal, incident, and accident conditions. Additionally, for any potentially released radioactive substances, their dispersion in the environment is analyzed using Monte Carlo programs (e.g., ARTM). The possible harmful effects on humans and the environment are assessed, and compliance with legal limits is verified based on these analyses.
